Meet the E-Foods Team
The team below are our executive team. Each has been with us for over 3 years, reflecting our approach to recruitment and our commitment to growing our own talent.
Paul Mizen - Managing Director.
- Paul started his training as a Saturday boy working for Peaches of Essex and has spent the last 15 years supplying Hotels, Restaurants, Nursing Homes, Contract Catering Companies, NSFS and the NHS.
- One of Paul's main motivations for setting up e-foods was his understanding of the needs within the food service industry to improve on IT. Paul's vast experience gained through supplying nationally has proved invaluable, helping to understand concerns that have arisen time and time again over the years, the inability of existing IT to standardise pricing, the lack of accessible information and the need for better systems.
- Paul through e-foods has provided a successful remedy to these problems. All current customers benefit from the e-foods system, no overcharging, information on time, direct inputting of invoices, and a system and company that is committed to continual development to suit the needs and demands of the ever changing food industry.
- Paul is a keen golfer follows West Ham who he describes as a rollercoaster team and has a passion for wine some would say a little too passionate on a Saturday night.

Steve McFall - Operations Manager

Steve have always worked in Fresh Produce since the young age of
12, Steve the ‘early bird’ was responsible for setting up the shop or the flash as it was known in the trade. Steve has progressed from working in supermarkets where he was responsible for purchasing and importing on Manchester Wholesale Market, to the Present as National Accounts Manager for e-foods. -
Steve still spends time now to his partners bemusement stood outside Greengrocer's shops or on the produce section in the supermarket.

Apart from work his main interests are golf and Manchester City, Steve has proven to be a valuable member of the e-foods team. Steve nick name on the golf course is Billy.

Madi Jamieson - Office Manager
Madi has been part of the E-foods team for 2.5 years and in the time has seen the business grow and flourish to the successful operation that it is today. Having started as an Admin temp, Madi very quickly worked her way to Office Manager.
Madi spends most of her time overseeing the IT development which is constantly changing to suit our customers’ needs, as well as running the office. Having studied Media at University Madi works closely with Paul in all aspect’s of marketing e-foods where she can fully utilise her skills, everyday is a challenge and she enjoy working in an ever changing environment.
Madi loves traveling and aims to see as much of the world as possible, she hates, DIY she refers it as unavoidable but horrible!! Madi is the type of person the goes the extra mile in all aspects of her work.

Lisa Boland - customer project manager

Lisa joined e-foods as a temp in 2005 and has progressed with the company as it has grown over the years, from office junior to be the company’s Customer Project Manager today. Lisa’s role has developed as e-foods customer base has widened.

Working alongside Steve Mcfall, e-foods National Accounts Manager, Lisa is responsible for finding suppliers in speciality areas and developing e-foods varied range of suppliers. Lisa is the e-foods resident ‘foodie’ and her passion for seasonal locally sourced produce has proved invaluable in sourcing like minded suppliers for our discerning customers.
In her spare time Lisa is a keen cook and enjoys socialising with friends in Manchester’s bars and clubs, going to the gym and foreign travel. -

Janine Ingram - Products and Pricing

Janine started working for e-foods as a temp and became the Operations Administrator working within our operations department almost 1 ½ years ago. As previously working for a Finance company for 4 ½ years and being FSA qualified she takes on the responsibility of IT, Invoice Runs all the product additions as well as setting up new accounts.

Janine spends a lot of her time liaising with suppliers to obtain the results desired in the most effective way. As well as Madi and Jason, Janine has been instrumental in developing the new online system.

Janine loves helping others and is very outgoing she loves to socialise and has become known as the office party animal.

Emma Wright - Accounts Manager

Emma started her accounts career when she joined an Ophthalmic coating firm when she was 20 years old as Accounts Assistant, where she help run the Purchase and Sales Ledger Department. She continued to work at Spectrum Coatings for 4 years while studying at college in the evenings.

After joining e-foods as a part time temp in October 2005, she then took over as the Accounts Manager in February 2006. Emma originally worked the accounts single handily, but as business has grown massively over the past eighteen months there is now a busy Accounts team of three. Emma has moulded an efficient accounts team and has a very good working relationship with both suppliers and customers. Emma is a busy Mum of two. Outside of work she enjoys music, going to the gym, shopping and socialising with friends.

Caroline Ingram, Southern Cross Accounts Controller

Caroline joined the e-foods team 18 months ago after working in the Motor Auction industry for 9 years. In this time she worked her way up to be office/accounts manager overseeing all aspects of the business.

Caroline’s vast experience and customer service skills have made her well suited to manage e-foods largest customer, which has over 650 sites and is rapidly expanding, the account is fully up to date and is a testimony of Caroline’s work ethic. In her time at e-foods she has established a good working relationship with both customers and suppliers and now is an integral part of our accounts team.
Caroline love’s socialising and is a keen gym member.

Linda Hope - Accounts Assistant
Linda joined the E-Foods team at the start of February 2007 as a temp and in June was taken on full time. With previous experience within both sales and purchase ledger departments, she has gained a better understanding of the overall running of accounts departments and helps maintain the administrative side of the unit.
Working closely within a team of 3 covering aspects such as customer queries and reconciling accounts, she enjoys the flexibility her role provides, also assisting where needed with administrative needs of the operations department.
In her spare time Linda enjoys socializing with friends, clubbing, and mainly attending music concerts. She also spends her weekends keeping active and giving something back to nature by volunteering for the National Trust.

David Mellor, Customer Care Manager
As well as running our customer care department David is also responsible for producing the e-foods fresh foods manual. David works with Steve and Lisa in organizing the rollout of new customers and has proven to be a valuable member of the e-foods team.

Jason Mizen, IT MANAGER

Jason joined e-foods in the summer of ’07, putting on hold a prospering career as a professional c-walker and making the trip from his hometown of Peterborough up the motorway to his current location in Manchester.

As a young boy Jason used to go to the markets and help out on his Dads Fruit and Veg stall, though most of his time was spent in the back of the lorry playing with his Micro Machines. Working as an IT Manager, Jason’s duties include the development of our online ordering system, inputting orders onto our online ordering system, setting up and teaching people how to use our online ordering system as well as performing all the general office duties.

At just 19 years of age, Jason has given up his aspirations of appearing on MTV’s ‘Dancelife’ and has elected to stay grounded for the time being. After a hard day at the office, Jason likes to kick back and watch some ‘Two And A Half Men’, maybe some ‘Friends’ maybe even some ‘Laguna Beach’ if there’s nothing else on.
James Green, National Sales Manager
James Green left school at 16 and joined the Army; he served in Hong Kong, Cyprus and Northern Ireland with the 3rd RHA. He received a GSM for services in Northern Ireland. He left the Army after 8 years to become a body guard for pop stars, looking after Shirley Bassey, The Kids from Fame, U2, Cliff Richards and many more.
Married to Julie for 20 years, they have 2 children, Charlotte and Harry. Looking for a quieter life he moved on to Smithfield Market in Manchester where he developed an interest in cheese, he began traveling to France once a month, bringing back various specialty cheeses for Hotels and restaurants in and around the North West. Having worked 20 years in sales within the food service industry.

James has gained a reputation as a first class sales man and is held in high regard by past and present customers.
Nathan Jennings, National Accounts Manager

Nathan started in the food service business at the young age of 13. His career started on smithfield market where he worked as a saturday boy for Wilson Catering. Nathan continued to work with Wilsons for a few years when he left school, he then progressed to a new wholesale business on the market, PL European.

When Nathan moved to PL european he worked from 2am till 11am as a porter, a few hard grafting months later he was quickly promoted to a sales position in the business. Nathan gained great experience and after a year he then moved to join the team at e-foods and has not look back since.

In his spare time Nathan likes to go to the gym and is a keen manchester united season ticket holder at Old Trafford, he is also a keen boxing fan. Nathan is a real socialite and loves going out with friends at the weekends, look out ladies!!! as Nathan is always on the look out for the lady of his dreams.
