Pebbles Hotels are now online with e-foods

As of the beginning of June 09, Pebbles Hotels have switched to the complete electronic purchasing package offered by E-foods. Pebbles have been trading with E-foods since March 2007 and in that time, e-foods have worked with Pebbles to develop the online system to suit their needs. Pebble hotels like E-foods is committed to continuous progression with technology to enable them to streamline their operations and ensure that they are getting the best deals on the market, so that they in turn can offer their customers excellent quality and service. Each of the hotels enters their food orders electronically over the internet using the e-foods ordering system. Each hotel has their own unique log in access which allows them greater control over their ordering, giving them real time information, with the click of a button. All the delivery information is stored on the system and it allows them to trace their order as it moves through the system and out on to the delivery van. The head office benefits from the ledger function and statistical information that is available for each of its operations, giving them greater control over the purchasing and simplifying the account processes. It is an exciting time for e-foods to have the opportunity to work with Pebbles to provide them with a bespoke system that will greatly assist them, E-foods are committed to providing customers with a truly unrivalled level of service and we believe that our system offers this.

Three Years with Genting UK

Genting UK have been working with E-foods for 3 years, initially Genting trialled the system through a number of key sites for the supply of Fruit and Vegetables, E-foods have now extended their supply to cover all the Genting UK sites delivering a number of product categories including Fruit & Vegetables, Bakery & Dairy. Category management is key to the success and we were delighted that Genting UK has very recently awarded the trial for the supply of fresh meat to a number of key sites, based on the quality and service so far provided. Genting UK had recently installed their own bespoke IT purchasing system and it was imperative that the E-foods system could partner this and in fact become an extension of this. E-foods worked closely with Genting UK to ensure a successful integration, allowing Genting UK to utilise the benefits of both systems.

Peter Kitchener Director of Provincial Hospitality for Genting UK has worked closely with the E-foods team since the beginning and he is delighted with the benefits the system can offer ‘Faced with the task of managing 39 Casino Food & Beverage offers, all with a slight difference to ensure regional variances etc, could have been a nightmare. However working with e-foods has enabled me to consolidate the purchasing and reduce costs, in addition using E-foods has meant we have been able to progress using our own IT system, which has meant we have been able to change over supplies with minimal disruption. E-foods are responsible for ensuring excellent quality and service for our sites, and I have been delighted at the service we have received. It is also important for a company of our size to ensure our local community feel part of our organisation, therefore utilising local produce & supplies with one point of contact has been extremely favoured. E-foods also offer our sites a full customer support service so the sites are very well looked after, which leave me more time to concentrate on moving the company forward.

Freemans Catering Butchers

E-foods would like to congratulate Freemans Catering Butchers on winning the National Catering Butcher of the Year Award 2009. Freemans Catering Butchers have worked with e-foods for the last two years and have continually provided excellent quality and service for our customers.

The award was presented by England Rugby World Cup Winner, Kyran Bracken at a gala ceremony at London’s Royal Garden Hotel. The Meat Management Awards are the recognised industry benchmark for excellence throughout the meat industry. The Catering Butcher Award is voted for by readers of Meat Management and meat industry customers and suppliers.

New Purchasing Manager

Congratulations to Janine who has been promoted to the company Purchasing Manager.

Janine has been an integral part of the E-foods team since April 2006, over the past 3 years she had developed a good understanding of the food service industry and has worked closely with suppliers & customers providing a first class customer service. E-foods strongly believe in growing talent and Janine has proved a valuable and enthusiastic pupil with a natural flair for purchasing, over the next few months, Janine will be going through some rigorous training to further build on the purchasing skills she has already developed since starting with E-foods. Janine has an excellent relationship with all of our suppliers and this is essential in her new role as she will be working closely with them to ensure that our customers get the best prices and the finest products available on the market.
